I work outside Canada as an Industrial Mechanic, which comes under NOC 72400 and is a trade occupation. I received my diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Manufacturing) in June 2013, but I have been working in this NOC since March 2018.

These are the requirements for working in NOC 72400:
-Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program is usually required.
-Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience and industry courses in industrial machinery repair or millwrighting is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.
-Industrial mechanic (millwright) trade certification is available, but voluntary, in all provinces and territories.

While creating my Express Entry (EE) profile, there is a question asking: "If the primary occupation is a qualified trade occupation (codes beginning with 72), when did I become qualified to practice in this occupation?"

Should I put June 2013, when I received my diploma, or should I put March 2018, which is when I started working in this NOC occupation?
