Hi, this is my first post. I met a mexican citizen who I am now dating. I live in Canada and he lives in Los Cabos Mexico. I want him to come live with me in Canada and eventually get married. I still have 2 years of schooling left So I can't say that I have a ton of money but enough to pay for rent and everything that I need. How do I begin the process for him to come To BC Canada. So many different things people say so I'm not sure what to do. Very stressed please help!

To sponsor him you either need to be either married or common law (common law = have lived together for a minimum of one full year). So if you want to sponsor him to immigrate to Canada, the first step is to meet one of these criteria.

Read the first post in the following thread for more details:

Join the Mexico Thread, lots of useful information on there.

Quickest way right now, would be for him to start applying for a job. He will need to find an employer who is willing to submit papers to hire a temporary foreign worker.

You can't sponsor him at this point. But he could apply for a work visa. It's best he finds himself a job in BC.

Hi there

I would belong to this post,

I have been with my mexican boyfriend for 4 years, and visiting etc, and its been too hard, we are getting married May, and then apply for PR after that.

I am just wondering where the Mexican thread is and how do I find it???

Thanks

Breanne
