Hi there all!
I have some quarries:

1. I have got an offer from U of A for Masters. But I am hoping to get another offer in the first week of July from Uni of Toronto.
Should I apply for VISA now? Can I later change my University? Or I should wait till mid of July to apply for the VISA?
Start date September 1, 2011 (Both the program).

2. The Department will give me stipend of 21,700$ (excluding Tuition fees 8880$). The graduate coordinator has send me a letter.
Should I need to show personal funds?

3. How much money can I take with me with the STUDENT VISA?

Totally upto you, if you wanna apply for visa with U of A now. And yes you can change university after going there.

Yes, no matter what stipend you get, you still need to show money worth 1 year tuition + 1 year living + 2ways air fare in the bank for a duration of 4 months.

3. How much money can I take with me with the STUDENT VISA?

The whole expense of living and studying as a student in Canada for the specific program.

One more think. If I get the TRV with Letter of Introduction mentioning U of A and at the port if I show Uni of Toronto's offer letter, will they refuse my entry to Canada?

no no, go to canada with u of a offer letter, then change uni, go for late admission in u of t. that would be easier.

Hi there again!

Is there any problem (legal) if I reject/refuse/not attend an offer of graduate admission of U of A which I accepted before, if I still have not paid the tuition fees?

Actually, I want to attend Uni of Toronto (they will send out offer letter late in July), but my study permit will be for the previous one.

There is no legal obligation if you change universities, but if they ask for tuition fees before hand, like before you go to canada, then you may have to convince them that you will give it upon arrival.
If you can't convince them at all, and have to pay it beforehand, u can still get some refund if you wish not to continue there.

Arrive to canada, go to u of a, tell them, sorry dude, i am going to u of t. It should be fine

Thank you for replying.

I am looking for the source of the claim "1 year tuition+1 year living+air fare". If there is anyone who can substantiate this claim with a source, I would greatly appreciate it. There is also another member by the name Obeid_oo who claims that he sent an email to CHC Delhi and they confirmed this claim. I have also asked him to share that email. Let's see if hee can do that. Would you happen to have any direct contact details of Obeid_oo by any chance?

Hi ,,
I got acceptance letter from Memorial University of Newfoundland in the MS in Biochemistry. the full course fee is 5781CAD, my professor agreed to give me 15000CAD per year. so what amount should my sponsor (Father) need to show for solvency?? I also want to know that should he need to show his annual income according to his Tax assessment documents? Should I need to submit tax documents of two years ?
