NEED HELP BADLY PLEASE IM LOST ANY HELP

hello i filed my wife case in nov 11 of 2014
everything was going well. and second medical came on
july 1 2015.. since then i have nothing from them
i sent them a letter they said the file is still in process.
but i am hearting that before i was married 5 months before
i use to collect social assistance wasnt the full coverage just
the basic needs witch was 230/ month
is my file stoped and it hasnt moved forward to the visa stamped stage
is it because i was on welfare prior to me getting married
do i have to pay this welfare money back for my file to go..ahead
if that was the case will they let me kno tahts why its stopped.
my file has left canada and has been in london since january of 2015
please any help will help me be at peace and help me know what is the next step.

You would not have been approved as a sponsor if this was a problem. I assume you received SA? As long as you were off it by the time you sent in the application, it's fine.

Why don't you order your notes so that you can know what is really going on with your file. Anyone here can take a guess but it will be just that: a guess.

i did order notes yesterday...but i did it through my lawyer he was messing with me telling me i cant do it
on the net my self the biggest thing he said was on the order notes it does not tell you if you need to owe money.
how long do order notes usually take ?

it takes 30 days
notes are generated after like 4 to 5 days
they keep it on hold and send it to you after 30 days if the 30th day is on a weekend you can add 2 more extra days

wouldnt of gone past canada to london visa office if i debt am i correct ?

It depends which box you checked in your application. You had the choice to tell CIC to continue processing your application even if the sponsor was refused. If that's what you told CIC to do, then your file would certainly have been passed to London even if you were refused as a sponsor. Having said that, you would have been notified of the sponsorship refusal.

i havent been notified of no refusal last time i got a letter from them was in november 2015
saying that the file is still in process.
before that in augest they asked us for more photos and information they wanted ..
they would of brought up the refusal or debt if it was that the issue.
my case is getting silly as days go by.
