Hello everyone,

I graduated from the american university of beirut in mid 2014, and have been working since then as a programmer (so that's about 1.5 years of work experience). I hold a degree in computer science with a total gpa of 73.83% (about 2.6 out of 4.0 according to the conversion chart on the back of my official transcript). I'm planning on applying for a masters degree in computer science. Most universities state the minimum requirement for admission to be around 3.0 out of 4.33 or 70% in percentage scale. My gpa is 73.83 which is above 70%, yet according to the conversion chart that is found on the back of my transcript, my gpa is about 2.6 out of 4.0. According to a gpa conversion chart that i came across online, my gpa would be about 2.8 on a 4.33 scale, which is below the minimum :/

Anyhow, so far i have applied to concordia university. I might also apply to 2 or 3 out of the following:
University of Ottawa
University of Regina
Ryerson University
Dalhousie Univeristy
University of New Brunswick

What do you think my chances are of receiving an acceptance from each one of these universities?

Also on a side topic: Are years spent in one province (especially Quebec) counted towards receiving a pr from another province?

hi,
I cannot comment about your chances of acceptance. But I can say that, Quebec has totally independent laws from any other province in Canada so it will not be counted in some other province.
