Need guidance

Hi,

I got mail from ircc for submitting my passport to vfs India ....

But unfortunately when I went passports of my wife and kid we're damaged little bit....so they told to get new passport issued....

Have applied for the same....but I have a fear ...

In my application , old passport details are there....how and when to inform ircc for new passport issuance as I have to submit passports to embassy within next 20 days.....

Can anyone pleas help and guide me on this...
