I’m indian citizen working in UAE as a Security Guard and my wife is studying in canada. I want to visit her as our wedding anniversary is coming in December. What can i do to convince the Visa officer for getting the visa.

You want to show funds. Given she is on a study permit then you should show proof of funds for 2 people. You need to show ties to return (long term residency, job letter with approved leave, businesses etc.). Since you aren’t in your country of citizenship and don’t have family, it will be a challenge but put in an application. So show funds, ties to return, travel history (UK, US, NZ, AUS) and visit for 2-3 weeks. Good luck.

Thank you for you advice. How much funds would be adequate for this process. I have contract visa for 2 years which is going to expire soon but i will renew it. It will be ok if i don’t have approved leave letter because i don’t think my company will going to provide it to me. Even i don’t have any travel history.

So if you don’t have a job then do you have prove that you will return? Contract visa without a job, no ties to country of citizenship and family in Canada is not a strong profile. What are you actually showing that you will not overstay?

How long is visit? When does spouse graduate? If you have no job, IRCC will think that you have no intention of leaving. Show proof of funds for 2 people that were required for study permit so $25k.

It is basically Job contract with the company which is vaild for 2 years that i will renew again before applying visitor visa and her study will complete in April 2025. I’m planning to visit her no more than 3 weeks. She has a partime job as well there. Can i show recent funds like 1 month old funds in my account and can i show funds in my indian bank account.

So you want to include a job letter with approved leave for 3 weeks. Bank statements should be over the las 4 months.

If over the past 4 months, yes. The issue is that you don’t live in India.
