I was sponsored by my wife in 2014 under conditional PR and our relationship broke down. I left canada and came back home in June 2015. Meanwhile my wife applied for Divorce (Amicably) which was granted in 2015 August.

I like to come back to Canada and mailed the Canadian Immigration about the situation, who replied that even though my PR card could be valid, since I didn't complete my conditional clause of 2 years,I might be stopped, questioned and or deported.

Now I am thinking I will apply for express entry scheme. If I voluntarily renounce my PR, will I be able to apply for Immigration at a later date? I searched different sites, but I am not finding any answers. Please help.........

Yes - if you voluntarily renounce your PR status then you can certainly apply again to immigrate through Express Entry or another program. Note that you'll have to officially renouce your PR status before you apply.

Thanks for the info. Do I need to attach a mail along with the application explaining why I want to voluntarily give up my PR
