Need assistance in a matter

Hi, i am living in uk on student visa and applied for spouse visa in London Canadian high commision. My question is i have applied for the further extension to remain in Uk and have not received my passport yet. In the mean time if canadian high commision asked me to submit myy passport then can i send it without any futher uk visas on it. LOndon homeoffice will return the passport on my early request but i think without giving me any further stay. i dont know iam really confused.

If anyone can help in this reagard i will appreciate that. Thanks in advance

Are you worried that your Canadian PR wouldn't be finalized if it appeared you were out of status in the UK?

yes Robsluv. actually i am hoping to get my passport back soon but due to change in london home office visa issuing system they are taking too long. I was thinking if i dont get my passport till then i will ask the homeoffice to send it back to me and they said in this situation my application is considered to be withdran.

i dont know, any suggestions?
