Dear all,
I need your advice. We submitted for PR on October, 8, 2008. My occupation is on the list. We didn't here from them. Meantime, my spouse got an offer for a 2-year position in US. If we leave our home country and they require the documents when we are in US, where is the place to submit them and to have the medicals? I mean will it be Buffalo (or other place in US) or we will have to flight to our home country for that.
Many thanks for your help.

The consulate where you have applied may choose to transfer your file to Buffalo, but I doubt they will when you are in the US for less than a year.

When they request additional documents, you will send them to where your application is being processed.

When they request medicals, you should be able to take you medical exams anywhere (including the US) under a DMP

If you are being selected for an interview, you will have to go to where your application is being processed.

That's just my opinion, don't count on it.

PMM, can you confirm?

If your home country takes less time than Buffalo visa office to process the application then you must stay where you are amd if Buffalo takes less time, then you try hard to transfer your application to the US, as others said, the decision is up to them, but you can always withdraw your application and file from US if thats the route you want to go.
