Hi Leon/All
I completed landing proccedure in month of Feb 2010 and immidiatly came back to USA to continue my Job.
After that in month MAy 2010 I went back to Canada with family and stayed for 2 weeks tried for job but no luck so left canada and went to India.
Now next year I am planing come back to canada Feb 2013.
My PR is under skilled worker and I have family.
My Questions:
1. Will there be any issue to re-enter in Canada by AIR.
2. PR is valid till 5 years i.e. year 2016 so will I am eligible for citizienship. can I apply for citizenship alone ?
3. My family will join me July 2013. In that case they wont be able to complete 3 years. Will they have to apply for PR renewal? Will there be any issue ?
4. Do I have to take any precautions while traveling to canada ? carry any extra documents etc.

Please advise

1. There should not be a problem if you enter Canada less than 3 years after you landed. You may be advised by immigration that you must stay in Canada for 2 years now in order to meet the residency requirements for your first 5 years and you can tell them that you will.

2. If you stay for 3 years, you can apply for citizenship in 2016. You can apply alone.

3. They should not apply to renew their PR cards until they have completed at least 730 days in Canada so no earlier than July 2015. Preferably a bit later. It is ok for the PR card to expire when you are in Canada.

4. No. You are arriving less than 3 years after you landed so they can not say that you do not meet the residency obligation because you still have time to complete your 2 years.
