need advise in file plzzzzzzz under non spp

hi i have got admission in masters of engineering in inter networking for fall 2013 intake in Dalhousie university .
my profile --
10th--75%
12th--52%
BE in Electrical engg --64% passed out in may2011
i m working in my uncle company
problem is i have 17 backlogs and one year gap engineering . one of my friend having same profile applied got rejected twice firstly he was rejected in spp and 2 time in general category but i have applied directly for masters . i dont want to spoil my file so plzz help me friends what should i do. i have too much time to prepare a file as i have to keep file around august 2013 soo plzzz help me friendss. one of my college friends applied under spp having same profile have got visa in jan 2012 last year but things might getting tough . plzzzz suggest me friends
