Hello Everyone,

I am looking to immigrate to Canada under Federal Skilled Worker Program.

I have master's degree in Physiotherapy and I am from India.

I just want to know your views if this is right place to migrate for people who have this background.I checked with few consultants in New Delhi and there response was encouraging.Probably because they are charging hefty amount (around 75K for consultation charges).

I want to know if these consultation charges are genuine?
How to show my experience credentials as I worked as free-lancer?
Is lecturer ship experience is counted as experience?
On average how much time it takes for documentation collection (police verification,University transcripts)?
I heard now credential evaluation is compulsory so do I need to complete that before applying,If yes how much time it takes?

I am looking to migrate with my spouse.

Please help me in answering the above queries.

Regards,
Sandy

Currently, FSW is on hold. Wait till CIC announces new professions eligible to apply somewhere around April 2013.

@@@ Charges seem appropriate, but make sure you hire a good agent if you are not comfortable filing your case yourself.

How to show my experience credentials as I worked as free-lancer?
@@@If you have worked in some clinic, show their reference. If you have your own clinic, show proof of business and IT returns, etc.

Is lecturer ship experience is counted as experience?
@@@Not sure, but you should show it as well, as it will increase your points.

On average how much time it takes for documentation collection (police verification,University transcripts)?
@@@Depends on you and place you live in...PCC usually 2-3 months, transcripts one month approx (depending on where your university is and how fast they are.

I heard now credential evaluation is compulsory so do I need to complete that before applying,If yes how much time it takes?
@@@ wait till any announcement from CIC about which agency to choose. It takes 1-1/2 months approx.

I am looking to migrate with my spouse.
@@@ She can be a co-applicant. No Problems.

Please help me in answering the above queries.

Sandy

Thanks for your reply RockinCanada..

I heard from 4 th May 2013 CIC is accepting new applications. So shall I wait till the anouncement for the new professional eligible or I should start the process now..

And do you have any idea how much quota is there for Physio's or there is no quota for any profession only first cum first basis..

Regards,
Sandy

No idea about quota or not or even if this occupation is going to be there. It can be anything...just like the previous one..there could be a cap on number of applications or it may be total so many applications, God knows or Mr. Kenney. You can certainly take IELTS, apply for PCC as it takes the most time, and if you passports are going to expire within one year, better get that renewed. For transcripts and credential evaluation, you should wait.

Important, when getting experience letter, just make sure the text is not similar or copy paste from
the NOC website,
