To be a teacher in Canada you must be certified like a Doctor. This is done by provincial organizations. For example, it is the Ontario College of Teachers which regulates Ontario. They maintain professional standards. Look at their web site for information re. international applicants.

A BA (3 year) is required in all but some Technological specialities. A Canadian BEd is a two year university degree.

I would think your IELTS score will be too low. It should be an 8 or 9 to be a teacher. Really work on this a get it as high as you can!
