Just read some stories from britishexpat forum and started to worry about this - does a non resident need to file T1135 form? If T1135 hasn't been filed for years and if the person eventually return to Canada, and in case his non residency status is disputed by CRA, will this result in hefty amount of tax penalties，2500 cad per year or whatever? Any experts view to clarify the worry will be appreciated.
