Hello everybody

I need some advice. Another wrench in the process.

My fiancee is visiting me at the moment and we are getting married in Nov. I live in a rent geared to income townhouse in Ontario. I have followed all the necessary proticol i.e. he is considered a visitor for 3 months and then a tennant. I informed the office re our upcoming marriage in Nov. and the intent to apply for extension and sponsorship and PR application as soon as we are married. I sent them a letter stating by law he cannot work as he is considered a visitor by CIC standards and that the PR process would be started as soon as we are married and he would apply for a work permit as soon as his PR is granted. They are asking me for proof that he cannot work. Any advice??? I cannot afford to lose my housing at the moment until he is able to work and I want him to be with me during this whole process. I also gave them a copy of my sponsorship agreement even though it is too early to submit it.

2. Should he apply for a temporary tax number so that my child benefits will not be interrupted after we are married?

BTY he is applying outland via POS

Is your fiance from a non visa exempt country? Did he have to obtain a visitor visa to come here? If so, then I believe the visitor visa specifically states "not authorized to work" or something along those lines.

Could you not print off a page right from the government website to show this?
