Hello guys,

I am asking these questions on behalf of my friend.

Does the company size (no. of employees) matters for the validity of a job offer?

What about recent startup companies? For example, If a company was started like 6 months ago; does it qualify to hire an employee and successfully meet the criteria as to helping the applicant in getting him PR?

Please advise!!

I should also make it clear that the employer here is not willing to support him for LMIA .... The employer is hiring for his data science projects.

Now if this employer is offering the applicant a position under his company title; is one year experience is good enough to claim points as Canadian work Experience?

Your question is a bit confusing.

To claim points for a job offer in Canada - the employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA. So if your employer isn't willing to go through the LMIA process, then you can't claim job offer points.

To get one year of work experience in Canada and qualify for CEC, you need to get a work permit which also requires an approved LMIA. (Unless for some reason you qualify for an open work permit based on studying in Canada or something like that.)

He is on PGWP work permit and he has one year left.

Now if I may ask again:
