Hi
I have done my MBA in finance n wish to pursue a 1 to 2 yrs PG program in Canada. I am married n have a eight month old baby. My husband works as a Corporate sales head n owns a house in mumbai. We wish to shift to Canada till I finish my studies. Kindly help in below mentioned questions.

1. I want to study n work part time to financially support my course. Is that possible?
2. Can my husband get a work permit while he is thr with me? And shud he apply in India or once landed in Canada? Is it easy to get student spouse visa?
3. Will d college n immigration support even though I have a very young child? Do they give student permit to people with small kids?
4. Kindly guide how do I go about the whole process .

Thanks. :)

No, u can get a work permit after 6 months of study(this rule may change in jan 2014 but not sure yet). it is not enough money to support ur tuition fee ..it may cover only urs and urs alone living expenses
2. Can my husband get a work permit while he is thr with me? And shud he apply in India or once landed in Canada? Is it easy to get student spouse visa?
your husband can apply for open work permit . u can both apply for visa at the same time. It is difficult to get dependent visa but if u have good financial background and u have enough ties to home country it may be easy
3. Will d college n immigration support even though I have a very young child? Do they give student permit to people with small kids?
college doesnt care but immigration will look at ur complete profile and financial background. yes they give study permit to people with kids .
4. Kindly guide how do I go about the whole process .
visa process can be found below link

for colleges and university u should search google depending on ur field.
first u need to give IELTS.
visa may be difficult for u as u already have a MBA and PG diploma is not a logical career progression for u ....u should look into doctoral level or atleast another masters level course

Thanks a ton for ur immediate reply.

Can u suggest few good colleges? And is it better to apply at a college or university?
It is possible to get all visas by jan 2014 if I start now and shud me n my husband apply together?

most of the university application deadline must have passed by now for 2014 jan.....colleges dont know u will have to check individual college websites for more information . either case i think it is too late for jan 2014 and u still have to give IELTS. in ur case since ur a masters already u should look into universities as PG diploma could cause visa rejections as it is not a logical progression of ur studies. think about it as this, will u do a diploma /PG diploma in ur home country after completing a masters degree? without knowing ur complete profile , ur husbands complete profile , ur IELTS marks and ur financial situation it is hard to say if u should apply together or not.
