Hi seniors, i need a clarification I got PR 3 weeks back for me & my family. I am planning to move to Canada first (Nov)later my family will join me(MAR). The visa is granted till july 2011.Is it possible I can go first to can. how much fund I have to show and whether my family join me later they have to show fund again? pls calrify. Thank u very much.

1. Yes, moving first is a wise decision (if u r the PA that is).
2. Your dependents can land till the last day of visa expiry.
3. The PA (who lands first) has to show the entire POF, as per the CIC guidelines.
4. Subsequent landings by his/her dependents do not require to show anything.

Qorax

As Qorax mentioned,

Since you were the PA which I suppose then you will have to show the funds at the time of your landing in Canada for yourself and also for your family. Once you complete the landing and get the status of PR then your family can complete the landing anytime till the visa expires.
