Need advice regarding re-entry

Hi,

I will be graduating by the end of December and am planning to visit India. My stay would be from December 16 to January 16. However, my study permit is expiring on January 31. I am going to apply for the work permit as soon as I come back to Canada. My question is, would there be any problem at the port of entry when I return? Would I be allowed to enter Canada without any problems, provided my study permit is valid. According to CIC:

As an international student, can I return home or travel outside Canada during my studies?

If you leave Canada and want to return, you must have:

a valid passport or travel document;
a valid study permit if you are returning to study in Canada; and
a valid temporary resident visa, if you are a citizen of a country or territory whose citizens require visas in order to enter Canada as visitors.
You must re-apply for a temporary resident visa (commonly known as an entry visa) if:

your previous visa has expired; or
your previous visa was only valid for a single entry to Canada.

As my study permit expires on 31st January, it would be valid at the time I return. Moreover, according to CIC, I am allowed to live in Canada for 90 days after my study permit expire till the decision for my open work permit is taken by immigration Canada.
I hope this whole scenario is making sense, my only concern is if I would be allowed to enter Canada on January 16, If my study permit expires on January 31 and I have a valid re-entry visa.

do u need visa to enter canada? if yes then is ur visa valid .....if yes then u can enter even if study permit is not valid they will issue a visitors permit for 6 months......so visa is a document to enter canada and a permit is a document to legally stay in canada. check ur visa if its valid

I have an Indian Passport, so yes I need a visa to enter Canada. On the other hand, I have applied for a multiple-entry Visa, which I am sure that I will get soon. So I will have a valid entry Visa. So according to you, I shouldn't have any problem entering Canada if I have a valid entry Visa?

U are good to go as long as u return by 16th jan the day of visa expiry. Ensure u r at Poe before the visa expires.
