My nanny is in a very tricky situation..she applied for her rentry visa through Buffalo 4-6 weeks prior to her vacation to phillipines and did not get the passport back in time. She had to cancel her ticket and incur a big loss. I emailed the embassy and they replied that the method of payment was incorrect (she sent a personal cheque..very silly!)
Anyway I have emailed them asking if I could bring the cheque in person on her behalf (with an authorized letter and her ID) and hopefully get the passport back...it will expedite things or else she would have to wait a long time. We have taken our vacation according to her plans as well and we are all stuck now due to her oversight.
Do you know if it is possible to go to Buffalo and submit the payment in person? Do they accept that? Any other way out?? Thanks so much in advance...
