Hi,

A friend of mine is looking for a NOC code for Product Data Technician position and I got no idea about it despite searching -

key job duties are -

Responsible for executing the processes of receiving, assessing, analysing & processing incoming data:
Obtaining product data from various sources
Identifying, parsing & organising the product information elements
Identifying, fixing & enriching the missing and low quality data
Preparing, cleansing, standardizing and inputting product data
Monitoring and reporting product data quality

thanks

I guess its a Data Technician job so it must fall under 2172 or 2171

I am still confused about the NOC code????

Did you try sending an email to hrsdc?

No I have not, but thanks for suggesting I am gonna do it now.

It would help to have some information on the type of "product" or industry ...

my company is a major supplier of automotive parts to range of customers. It includes MRO- Maintenance, Repair and operations products, linear motion, conveyor components bearings and seals etc. My major duty is to collect and organize product data from number of sources for product information management system.

from my point of view it could be data custodian or data stewardship job. research about these positions as well

Curious on peoples thoughts about this:::

I have only just submitted my CEC application and the clock is ticking on my current WP expiry.

I just realised that I made a mistake and only put the NOC code "A", I didnt put the number "1121".

Will this be sent back to me to fix? Should I post off a whole new application now so I do not waste prescious time?

Appreciate some feedback.

Thanks! :)

Time is definitely precious. But if you have done a mistake, you need to pay a price too :) Do you have a new IELTS score card, a new PCC, a new BC, all new forms to post off a whole new application ?

Your application will be sent back. Wait for it. You can fix and send it back.

Thanks Andy2109, appreciate that!

I can get another copy of my IELTS and my police checks only just came in after I submitted my application, so I am lucky there. Everything else is only copies required at this stage.

Off to send it again!!

Perfect! You are well prepared. I am sure you will be extra cautious this time. All the very best!

Hi Andy
Sent you a PM, please advice.
Thanks

Got some mail from CIC today. Not good though.

So I sent in my CEC application April 15, a week later I realized I made a mistake and didn't enter the NOC 4 digit code. Lawyer said to send a explanatory letter to CIC with the correct NOC code. Did that. But also after reading on here I decided to send in a whole new complete application, knowing that if my first application is incomplete, it would take a month to send back and thats precious time wasted. So second app was sent and received April 30.

Anyways, today I receive a letter from CIC with my explanatory letter attached saying that they did not have record of the office receiving my application. Letter is dated May 8 - Im wondering at what point in time a application is "received" as 3 weeks has passed since the original application. Probably means that it is back in the post on its way back to me.... :(
