This info is for my brother. He is planning to apply for Canada PR. He is working in an international IT company in India. He is not working as a manager though. He is an analyst. He does not have a bachelors degrees but lots of courses and certifications. Will he be able to apply under the new specifications?

I thin he will need a job offer. Should the job offer be in the IT category or can it be in any other field? I live in Canada and I amtryign to help him come here.

Is there any other way he can come here as a PR or on a Work Permit?

Please advice...

Thanks

1. No managerial experience in IT, not qualified.
2. Any AEO job offer must relate to his qualifications.
3. WP, only if he can find an employer and then the employer either has to obtain an LMO or if the he qualifies under the seven IT categories that don't require an LMO. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/special-tech.asp

If you live in AB, SK or MB, you can look into if you can sponsor him under PNP family stream.

Thanks Leon, but I live in Ontario.

Any advice on whether he can try for a job there?

If you can answer another query - we are thinking on applying on his wife's behalf. She has a master degree and has 5 years of working experience. The experience is from 2001 to2006. Since then she has been self-employed on and off.
Will this experience be enough for them to consider her?
As she is not presently working - will this hinder her chances of being approved?

I think she can get 5 points for me being in Canada. But I donot have a birth certificate - how can I prove my relationship to my brother? The passport from my previous country had my father's name. My high school diplomas and degree have my father's name on them. Would that be enough?

I really appreciate your help
Thanks

If you can get her a job offer, that will also get them points plus it will help them qualify to apply under the skilled worker class. The employer who gives the job offer is not actually bound by it. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp and http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/supperimm.shtml Another option would be to try to get either your brother or his wife a temporary work permit. If they come on a temporary work permit, they can apply for immigration later.
