I have applied for a PRV as skilled and as retail trade supervisor. I have a job offer/contract from my in-law as a live in caregiver that had a positive feedback/LMO from HRSDC recently. I don't have any experience as a caregiver. Will the 10 extra points for arranged employment be rewarded/credited to my application for PRV even if the job offer is not related to my profession?

Nope, it is not skill level A,B or O. It is also doubtful the a work permit will be issued if you have no experience.

Hi PMM

Thank you for your reply. I have another question, if We will be given another positive LMO from HRSDC,
and the job offer/contract is in the skilled level, can we now be awarded the 10 extra points for arranged employment factor even if is not related again with my profession or does it have to be related in my profession?

HRSDC may approve the AEO, but is very possible that CHC will refuse to consider it if you don't have experience in the occupation. For example the company may have an approved AEO for a nuclear physicist, but if you have never worked as a physicist, it unlikely that CHC would count it.

i know some1 who had this type of visa for 2 yrs recently she applied as care giver and got her visa but she went there to take care of children so she did all the relavent courses like teaching, first aid course etc.... and she easily had visa for nanny but i think HRSDC has nothing to do with caregivers... anyway im not sure about HRSDC.... but the thing is that this cattegory needs qualification of the work your going for doesnt matter that you have experience or not and certain tax documentation of the employer.. you can get the details from the official web site

please go through the following, answer to your question is there.

http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/poarremp.shtml

I went through this several months ago, and keep going and going and cannot see this particular requirement.

In the application guide for skilled worker at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf it says on page 13: HRDC will confirm job offers for occupations listed in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the NOC.

To me it's not very clear that it's a concrete requirement. Does it mean that they don't confirm job offers for occupations of skill level C and D but they still accept them or does it mean that they don't accept them. I would check with the embassy/visa office/CIC to make sure.

Please, let us know as soon as you clarify this, because it is not very clear.

Actually, you will find it on the application form for the AEO at http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/forms/emp5275e.pdf on page 1. It says it should be skill type 0 or skill level A or B.
