Attending an information session will allow you to send in EOI to NB PNP.

However, you still have to have the 67 points required to apply.

You wouldnt get an ITA from NB but if they allow you to apply and you get nominated by NB, that will add 600 points to your profile, which guarantees ITA in any following draw after that.

Not sure if this can also happen in Abu Dhabi, but according to the NB PNP thread in the PNP forum, in recent sessions, if you bring your ECA, IELTS, and filled up EOI form, you will be interviewed 5-10 minutes after the information session, and you can get a direct invitation to apply to NB PNP.

They seem to have changed the mechanics of their information session. If you have the eoi form, ielts, and eca with you...you will be eligible for a quick interview at the end of the session.

If the interview goes well then you get a verbal ITA so you can send your full application. Take note not everyone who goes through the interview gets an ITA so you still need to work hard to get it :)

I got an invitation to attend NBPNP session scheduled on 23rd July, their application guide stated that:

Applications are not accepted from applicants who:
• Have an application in process under another immigration program in Canada;

not sure that applies to me now I received AoR from OINP, any idea?

Yes, it applies to you.

Basically, it's ok to submit your application to as many provinces; but once one of them is processing your application, you need to put your other applications on hold.

How does one put an application in PNP category on hold? The only possibility is to withdraw.

so that means I can attend the session but if I want to apply to NB (assuming the interview is positive) I will be asked to withdraw the OINP application?

Does NB interview give you an (apply by) date? or is it open for the next 2 years?

Basically you withdraw all your other PNP nominations once you've been nominated in one.

NBPNP will not ask you to withdraw your OINP application. If there is a question whether you have applied for other PNPs then you need to provide a truthful answer.
If you are invited to apply for NBPNP you have to apply with required documents within that time period and for sure it is not 2 years.

The only way to know for sure is to ask an officer after an information session.

I guess provinces are being smart about giving nominations. It's not a deal breaker but they'll have different considerations from an applicant with various open provincial applications vs an applicant who applied to just one province.
