I’m in the process of changing my name on my UK passport which is taking longer than anticipated due to the holidays etc. Once I get my passport back I was intending to update my PR card straight away with my new name, however I need everything completed by mid March. If I don’t get my passport back soon I can’t get my application in for processing in time (currently 23 days). Has anyone any experience in travelling with one name on their passport and another on the PR card? I would be able to take my old passport and marriage certificate with me to help explain when coming back into Canada. I’m nervous about sending anything in to change my PR card any later than the start of February and if I could wait then I’d be able to book a vacation outside Canada for March break. Thanks!
