Name mismatch between my mother passport and my passport

Hi All,

I want to apply for a visitor visa for my mother, but her last name is different from the last name on my passport and birth certificate. I need to show these documents to prove our relationship. What should I do in this situation?

Why would you need to prove relationship for a visitor visa ? Or is it a super visa?

Write a letter of explanation and attach it in the additional documents. I tried that with my father in law application, cause of some discrepancies.

Because I have to invite my mother so for that I need to prove she is my mother and her last name is different in my birth certificate/passport .so while applying the TRV , I will apply with last name that is in her passport which doesn't match with my passport/birth certificate.

You don't need to do anything of that for a TRV.

Just give a letter of explanation with reason of the name difference, I had something similar to this as well.
