Name difference in Application/passport and educational documents

I am trying to get my ECA done and I am in pickle on how to proceed with the nuances of my name , all my educational certs has my surname as Md ( a short form of mohammed) and my passport has Mohammed as my surname , both WES and ICAS specify if the name is different in application and educational certs, a name change document has to be submitted , what do i do in this case , as it is not a name change , it is a common thing in Indian for such names , they abbreviate it mostly , any advice would be appreciated

I am thinking to go ahead with my ECA application as "Md" as all my educational certs says Md , will this be an issue when ECA document is submitted in express entry profile
