Name change during PR process

Hello ,

I have a few question regarding CIC application through express entry, as follow:

1) I am married but , I have not changed my name on passport, following my spouse name and surname.

2) Should , I go ahead with my maiden name before marriage as shown on passport. And, during the process after receiving ITA can i change it.

3) My passport shows I am single, but I do have government declared marriage certificate for proof of marriage.

4) I want to apply for express entry profile as married .


I would appreciate if you can guide on same.

No need to change anything for CIC. You could just go ahead and apply what you have. Indicate that you are married in your EE profile and use the name as it is in your passport. CIC wants only marriage certificate as a proof of marriage, nothing else.
