Hi everyone!
I'm a Canadian citizen living in the united states finishing my undergraduate degree. I graduate in May. My boyfriend of 3 years (a US citizen) wants to come back to Canada with me. He qualifies for NAFTA as he has a BA in Graphic Design. He has been looking for jobs and has found one company that is showing quite a bit of interest! I just have one concern.
On the NAFTA website they state that the applicant needs a degree (done) AND 3 years of experience? My boyfriend graduated in May of 2010. He has been working steadily 9-5 in his field since then so pretty much 2 years. Before he graduated, however, he was also doing freelance work (some paid and some unpaid) for more than a year. Would those two combined qualify for the 3 year requirement?
