Hi All,

I have BE (Computers Degree) and my spouse has Masters Degree.

We were planning to apply for FSW. I know its still not open and list of occupations is still not out until April. But I preparing my application thinking that we might see our occupation in list in April.

Questions are:

1.) Should my spouse apply as primary applicant since my spouse scores more than me due to masters ?
2.) Will I also get PR based on my spouse application (will submit extra fee for me) ?
3.) Spouse is giving IELTS exam , do I also need to give IELTS exam ?
4.) In form IMM 0008 do we add my name as dependent ?

Its not only education but also occupation and work experience required in FSW.

You need to wait till April for announcement of Occupations

Questions are:

1.) Should my spouse apply as primary applicant since my spouse scores more than me due to masters ? - check the occupation and total years of experience which is beneficial in application
2.) Will I also get PR based on my spouse application (will submit extra fee for me) ? - Anyone can be Primary applicant and all family members will get PR
3.) Spouse is giving IELTS exam , do I also need to give IELTS exam ? - Check who will be Primary Applicant
4.) In form IMM 0008 do we add my name as dependent ? - You have to add spouse and kids

Both (me and my spouse) of us have 12 years experience with same company

So just to clarify. Only my spouse will give IELTS exam and be primary application and will add kids and me as dependent

And we all (dependents) will get PR.

Ya, need to add spouse and kids as dependant

Thanks a ton coolguy2010 , really appreciate your help.

Do you some place who can help me with paper work and is not asking for too much $$$$$. I contacted few folks and they are very expensive. I just need someone who can help me with papers and all or someone who can verify papers for me.

Nobody can do better than yourself. You yourself has to organize all the forms , supportings in proper way and its not difficult to do that.

You can take the help of your spouse , both of you can do better than all.

Going to consultant is really not worth and I have seen real cases of blunders.

DO both you and your spouse have work experience in the same field with very similar job duties? If not, I would advise YOU to take the IELTS too. That way, if need be, you can be the principal applicant if your occupation is in the list but not your spouse's. Also, you will get 5 additional points for adaptability if the dependent spouse can get at least band 4 in IELTS. SO, there is no harm in taking IELTS (other than money of course).
