My Visa duration is shorter than the duration study duration

Hello,
I just got my visa, but the problem is that it is valid only till 30/4/2020 and my course ends in May 2023. I have been accepted to the International College of Manitoba where I'll be studying for 1 year after which I'll study at the University of Manitoba for 3 more years. The passport cannot be a problem as it expires in 2028, neither can be the funding. I also gave the Acceptance letter from College and the University, so I don't think that it should be a problem. I will receive the study permit on my arrival in Canada, so is it possible for me to get it for 4 years as that's the amount of time I'll be staying in Canada for studying? And yes, the visa does not have my picture on it.
What can I do to get this problem solved?

Did you apply with both offer letters or only one ?

Edit: Just re-read your post. I just have one question, how did you get a offer letter for a program that will begin in the winter of 2020 as those admissions are not open yet.

I applied for a pathway program, so I got an offer letter from 2020 as well. It was enclosed in the same pdf file as the offer letter for 2019 Session.

Sounds to me like you have only put the first letter of acceptance in your application.

Ok, so from what I understood since it's a pathway program they would have only given you the one year since your admission is based on you passing this pathway program. Once you complete your pathway you can file for an extension to your study permit. It would be better to contact the University of Manitoba and ask them if this is the normal procedure or is your case unique.

I had a doubt since it would not be possible to have two offer letter. First contact the college ASAP and ask. Also look in your offer letter, if in the letter your university program has the words conditional acceptance or conditional offer then you will only get the permit for your pathway program.

Eg. If someone took a conditional offer based on completing a ESL course they would get a study permit for the duration of the ESL course and then they would have to extend it once they complete the course and get an unconditional offer letter.

Even if you have to extend the offer letter don't worry as the extension is not as difficult as getting the study permit and can easily be done from inside Canada.

Correct again. It is, in fact, a conditional offer letter. It says "Students who complete ICMs University Transfer Program Stage II with a competitive GPA and satisfy relevant U of M requirement are eligible for entry into the second year of a degree program". So yeah, it is conditional.

Same with mine. My program at Durham College is a bridge program to UOIT’s bachelors. I submitted both LOA (unconditional for DC and conditional for UOIT) and got visa for the duration of my 2 year program at DC plus 3 months extra. Since the uni offer is based on successful completion (and a certain GPA) of college program, then the visa (as well as SP) covering the uni program cannot be issued yet.
