Hi I am a landed immigrant of Canada, August 2009. Stayed there and got our PR card after 45 days left Canada and came back to US where I have been working. The biggest mistake we did was we did not apply for a SIN card.

We are planning to go back to Canada and start living there permanently - we plan to travel to India and return back on August 17 and then stay there permanently.

The validity of our green card is still there. Will there be any problem as of our status and we plan to enter thru road from Buffalo.

Any help will be appreciated. We are very tensed.

You should be fine. If you come back August 2011, you have been gone almost 2 years. To meet the residency requirements, you can be outside Canada for up to 3 years in your first 5 years as a PR.
