Context: I have a Canadian PR but i work in California. Submitted the application for my husband's tourist visa for Canada as he doesn't have a PR.

Biometrics accepted correspondence : 06/07/2019
Request for passport (this message came in 2 hours after the biometrics correspondence) : 06/07/2019
Passport sent via USPS Priority Express : 06/08/2019
Awaiting Tracking Number from VAC and return of passport
There weren't too many threads of people applying from the Bay Area hence decided to post mine. Happy to answer any questions about the application process (assuming that the request for passport from the CIC is an approval of the visa).
