My study permit application got rejected on the basis of insufficient funds.
A relative stood in as my sponsor but they said the money in her account was not sufficient.
I want to reapply with the same sponsor, but provide multiple other sources of income for her such as tax statements, landed properties, etc.

Can this help or I also need to show money in my account?

You need to have GIC of atleast $ 10500 CAD + 1 year tuition fee paid in advance

I showed an account that had this much money but it still got denied.

Instead of posting that you had this much money into your account, how about posting how much money you have in the account, like a figure. As well where about in Canada were you planning on going? Having lets say $20,000 in your account may well be able to sustain you in lets say, Lethbridge , but would not be very much in lets say Toronto
One place has way higher cost of living then the other

No you need GIC because with GIC they are satisfied that your money has reached their country for your use and living expense..... but if you only show in your account only then they have doubt they think like may be you ask from someone and later you'll return to him after getting visa....

And in case of GIC once money transferred on your name to canadian account then they are confirmed and they knew... it cannot be used by someone else or return to someone except you.....

Tuition is $14000 per year
What about the in/out flows of this account? Did the money appear suddenly in account?

For study permit you need 1 year fees + 10,000 + a bit more for travel and such. And you need to explain how the other years amount will be obtained.

So while technically it was enough the fact that this is your relative and not immediate family member is probably raising doubts, how likely is it that a relative is going to give up all of their funds for you to study? I would recommend getting the caups notes for better clarity before applying.
