Hi all!

I need some advice, I'll try to make it short...

My step dad who married my mom since I was 10 is Canadian and we have lived there for a year and unfortunately had to go back and out of Canada.

I am now 23 and want to move back to Canada, how can my step dad sponsor me?

I may have adoption papers or maybe guardianship approval since the age of 12 (give or take) since my biological father is MIA, but they are from a different country and not Canada.

Is there anything specific that is needed in these kind of papers?
They need to be translated, is it something I can do or it requires a professional office to do it?
If I won't find these papers, can my step dad sign a statement that he acted as he was my father and that I am his son since the day that he married my mom?

Thanks in advance, xXShazamXx :)!
Hope you have a wonderful day!

As I understand it, unless your step-father legally adopted you, (in a way which would have to be acceptable to Canada), he could not sponsor you for anything. Nor could you claim citizenship through him. It's a moot point anyway as you are too old to be sponsored as a member of the Family Class. If you are not legally adopted already, it's too late.
