Sorry could have sworn I read that they had applied for visitor status but hadn’t renewed it after the submitted the PR apps.
yes I renewed the permission for them twice after I applied, is just that I applied for my working visa and the lawyer thought it would be valid for the 3 of us, but I just received one visa and its under my name. With the working visa I was able to asked the assurance maladie and they are in the school, but for my son to go out if the country with his soccer team I dont think so...
and its true that since august I didnt ask for another extensión for them

Well, for my kids I asked the extension twice last year ( in february and another one until august) in august the visitors visa expires and my lawyer told me it was not necessary to ask for another one... but it looks that was not a good advice. I have my working visa, that I received in november 2017 and with my working visa I received the social security for the kids too, they have also the CSQ and they are studiyng in the school.
At the begining the lawyer told me that my working visa would be valid for them to go out of Canada... but it looks is not valid for them.
No one can advise you properly if you don't provide all of the information upfront.

A visa is a stamp in the passport that allows a person to board a commercial carrier to travel to Canada. It does not grant status in Canada. If there is no stamp in the kid's passport, then he can't travel to Canada. Your lawyer is an idiot.

You are now saying you did apply to extend your kids' visitor status? If so, when was their status extended to??

Let me explain you a Little bit better.
My kids and I applied to have a turist visa since 4 years ago so we were coming here twice per year for vacations, at that time my husband and I were living in CR (my husband is not the biological dad of my kids) In 2017, in january, after 6 months satying in Canada, we decide to get marry and apply for our PR. Immigration received my papers on MARCH 30 2017, we already did the medical test, and the last thing I send because immigration asked me was the passport of the kids and a consent letter from the dad of the kids, that was one month ago. Our last entry in Canada was in february 2017 so at that time we asked for a extensión of our permission and we get it for 3 months, after those three months I asked another extensión that I received for my kids until august 08 th 2017 because it was the date of the expiration of the visa. In june, we received our CSQ so I applied for my working visa in july and I got it in november 2017. I didnt renew the visa for the kids because the lawyer told me it would be valid for the three of us, wich is not to go out of the country, It works for them to study and have their social security.

And yes I think the lawyer didnt advice me good because I think is the first time she has a case like this mine, and now my worry is that if since august the visa and the extend permission is expired and they are without a valid status in Canada, what I need to do to fix that and in the meantime have a valid permission for my son to travel?

Your kids are in Canada without status. There is nothing you can do to fix this from within Canada - it's too late. There is no such thing as valid permission for your son to travel. As others have explained, he needs a TRV to return. However if he leaves, even with an approved TRV, there's never a guarantee he will be allowed to re-enter. Given he's in Canada without status, my recommendation would be to avoid leaving and forget about the trip.

great,,, your kids are minors under your protection, so you all are with status,,,

Read the previous posts. The children do NOT HAVE VALID STATUS. It doesn't matter that their mother has status. Every individual needs to maintain status and she never applied for their extensions.

Completely wrong. A parent having valid status, does NOT extend to their minor kids. The kids need to maintain their own visitor status to be here legally, which it sound like they haven't done in this case.

Staying inside Canada it will probably not be an issue, but if they leave and attempt to re-enter that is where lots of problems could arise. If they don't already have a valid TRV in their passport to fly back to Canada, there is a high chance one would be refused due to this current overstay.
