Its been 6 weeks that I have applied for Canadian immigration under federal skill worker class.
i am expecting a reply from them..lets see...but my query is that i hv just found out that a couple of days ago my previous employer has shifted their office...so i wanna know how can i inform it to CIC at such an initial stage.
plz reply as soon as possible plz take it serious as i m really concerned bout it.

Wait untill you get RBVO (Received by Visa Office). My understanding is that you cannot send additional docs to CIO.
SO relax and wait for PER and then RBVO, and then zoom in the letter notifying changes.

Agreed with Devil.....you would get a chance to UPDATE your VO only at the RBVO stage.....wait until you get the notification from CIO.

Dear Devilhimselff,

Good day. Why do you say that we cannot send additional documents to CIO at initial state? Please let me know because in my case, CIO received my application on 25 August 2011. For working experience, my previous employers reference letter they never mention the main duties. I only know yesterday in my reference letter, there is no main duties because I have one photocopy of all of my documents. So today morning, I sent additional documents to CIO office by courier, and in my cover letter I explained the story. I understand that my chance is 50-50. I wrote all my details information like application received date, received by who, passport number, DOB, nationality. I still do not have file number because they have not start processing yet for august applicant. My credit card also have not encash yet. After that I will follow up by email. Depend on all of my luck. My NOC is 7242 and visa office is Singapore.
If I received PER, I am the one who is very happy in the world. If I receive NER, now I prepared every documents in my hand and I will send again. I hope I will get PER around November. :-).

Dear seniors,

Any comments about my case. Waiting... Myat

Hi Myat,

The chances for you to get a PER would be positive if all other documents are in place. At CIO stage "Completeness of documents is checked" so the absence of JD from reference letter will not have a negative impact. But at VO stage, this plays a crucial role (as you already know and thus have resend the updated ref letter), ....unfortunately, CIO will not consider the updated version of Reference letter despite all the efforts from your side because your file has not yet been given a reference number to which they can refer to and obviously for the same reasons you did not have a reference #. It will be a mammoth task to find your application from the pile they have ...just like finding a needle in a hays stack...

I would suggest to keep an Updated version of Reference letter with JD with latest date handy; and as soon as you see your application go to RBVO stage, send the document with explanation note.

Best of Luck with your application.

Mitali

Dear Mitali,

Thanks for your comments. Like you mention, they can't trace my application as I still don't have file number # but I submit one letter from Canada post which is i printed out from online by using tracking number, my application received by glen miller on 25/09/2011 and I hope if they can check by NOC, until today (04/10/2011), my NOC 7242 is only 20 people submitted. I understand that CIO recrived lots of application. Then I submitted IMM008 together may be they can check the code which IC behind page of IMM008 form. I hope god will help me.

I am worry as some of the applicants who forget to submit main duties in reference letter, they got NER because CIO consider not complete and reduce points before RBVO state. That why I am very worry about this.
Hope all smooth.

Best Regards,
Myat

Mitali, Job Duties are a pivotal requirement, as CIO has to decide if the application falls within the Ministerial Instruction of the 29 Job NOCs, hence PER or NER. Visa office will come later, but, first it will be grilled at CIO.

SO, the application is going to be review and if the applicant fails to prove the duties of that particular NOC it will be refused.

The only thing might be for myat, is that, if his other Experience Certificates are enough to grant him points towards reaching 67, and those exp certificates do include the Job duties, and they match the CIO requirement.

Why I say you cannot send additional docs, well please read the first page of Check List:

Gather your documents in the order of the checklist and check R each item. Attach small items such as photos and certified cheques with a paper clip, otherwise leave documents unbound. Place all documents in a sealed envelope. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the original version. Do not send any additional documents when submitting your application to the CIO.

ok....thnx all of you...for ur quick response...how long will it take them to issue me a letter if my case has been accepted by CIC.. my case reached at Nova Scotia office on 18 August...its been already 6 weeks....how long will it take further?

Dear Devilhimselff,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, in 4 of my references letter from my previous company, there is only 1 letter mention main duties(which is current job, working about 1.5 years). Although I attached all my appointment letter, inside this never mentioned about maim duties.

According to the checklist first page, although i sent additional documents, I think my chances of PER is very less:-(. Now I am waiting for my black or white result. Now i have to prepare documents for re-apply after I got my results.please god help me.

Any comments?

Regards,
Myat

Thanks Devil for the correction...what was I thinking.....silly me :(....ofcourse JD is one of the important criteria at CIO too......I guess I need to have my morning coffee first ;) (I have to blame someone for my mistake ..eh... ;)... so its my coffee this time).

Myat, yes the chances for PER now seems to be bleak. Sorry....

Can you not send the docs without waiting for them to come back?

Mitali

Dear Matali,

I also thinking this way. Can I send another application file package as my existing application is not complete because of lack of main duties in my reference letter from previous employer??
I have all original documents with me, like original IELTS... hoe do you think? May be this time I will use different credit card, in case I can know which application detect my card.

Please let me know
1) can I submit new application or
2) I have to wait until my result come out(PER or NER)
waiting for your reply,

Regard,
Myat

I guess you could do that ... I dont see a reason why not to.
If you get a PER then u would update your VO with the new ref letter and if NER, then you apply anyways...and you already know that your application might get a NER, so might as well apply. If you have 2 application in process, you can always withdraw one.

Mitali

but if ur both applications are accepted then u wont be get refund of fees even if u withdrew the application
