Hello,

I just have received an email from ICC informing me that they have completed the preliminary review of my PR card renewal application and the file has now been referred for a secondary review. I am not quite sure what that means and how much time more this is going to take.

Can anyone please help me understand this.

Many Thanks

Likely there is an issue with your residency obligation. The secondary review takes a while.

Many thanks for your response. Comes as a surprise because we never left Canada even for a day in the past two years.

We need to plan our travels and it would be great if anyone would tell us from their experience the amount of time it takes for them to complete the second review and what kind of information we should be ready with to give ICC

Thanks
