I want to share with you my plans for postgraduate studies in Canada.
I am 27 years old and I studied Electrical and Computer Engineering (5-year-diploma) in Athens, Greece. Soon, I will move to Canada with the IEC program. My plans are to become permanent resident as soon as possible and then to do graduate studies in something related to the following subjects: geological - geotechnical science - engineering, geoscience, geophysics, geography, oceanography or atmospheric sciences (meteorology etc).
For example I like very much the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at University of British Columbia.
So, what is your opinion about my plans? In Greece, I do not have the opportunity to offer my mind to improve this country - society. But I want to hope that in Canada, it is not the same...
