Hi I'm a post secondary student in an Ontario University. I came to Canada in September 2018 and started a 4 year BSc in Computer Science program. I unfortunately took 2 courses my first semester here and 3 the next semester, totaling to 5 classes that academic year, which is short of 1 from being considered a full time stufeny. This was due to misunderstanding the exact criteria for pgwp aswell as the initial brunt of the move away from my family. After that I switched out of that program to a BA in Econ degree at the same institution.
I graduate this April, having taken an extra year in school. I got my study permit extended last August and it is valid till July 2023. My travel visa got renewed to Aug 2027 aswell. I've worked part time jobs and internships but maintained the 20hr/wk quota aswell as maintaining a full time status at school with a 90% average being on the deans list the last two years in a row.
I have to apply for my pgwp this may. I'm trying to scope my chances and do anything that might potentially help my chances given the dire situation I'm in. It feels pretty hopeless and any kind of advice would be welcomed. Thank you.
