Hello,

I was checking on Canada Services website and I realized my NOC 1236 does no longer exist?? After looking at the list thoroughly I realized a new NOC number was assigned NOC 1315 has anyone gone through this before? Anyone know why this happened? Should I notify anyone about the changes?

Thanks!

"For individuals whose Federal Skilled Worker applications were received at the Centralized Intake Office before January 31, Citizenship and Immigration Canada has confirmed that they will be assessed according to the old NOC system. Those received after should conform to the 2011 guidelines."

Thank you deba_Avik! How can I give you a +1 :)?

I havent filed a FSW as of Jan 31 2012 though, Im still waiting for AEO to be approved. My occupation is still a "Type or Skills B" category so I guess I shouldn't worry and this is just a change of number on my NOC?

After 20 posts, you will be able to see GOOD and POOR in everyone's profile. If you select first, s/he will get a +1 and vice versa.

The NOC under which you applied will be applicable for your case. Have you sent application on Jan 31 or they received on Jan 31? If they receive after Jan 31, then your case will be assessed based on newer NOC. What was your NOC under which you applied? Had it changed?

No, my application has not been sent to any immigration office yet, as I said before I'm waiting for my AEO to get approved first. My NOC used to be 1235 now it's 1315 luckly is still a "Type B" occupation so I still meet the requirements. My concern is that once I get AEO is going to be for NOC 1236 and once I applied for FSW2 I'm going to have to state on my app. That my NOC is 1315 I just hope this does not cause any confusion.

Thanks for the elaboration. Yes, I got the point. Sorry friend, I don't have much idea about the format of AEO. It could be better if the AEO could be NOC number free but with other important things like JDs and the position. If possible ask your employer to update it considering new NOC. You can send them the copy of the changes in NOC to employer so that he could have a justification. As you are in FSW-2 category, you don't have risk of CAP reach. My best wishes for you, friend. Thanks for +1 and +1 for you also. :) :)
