I want to extend her visa. However, i was thinking if i take her to cancun and return to canada, will she get another 6 months. She is currently on a multi-entry visitor visa.

It is always up to CBSA whether she gets the full 6 months or less.

Thank you for your reply. However, I would like to know if she will be allowed to come to Canada from Cancun or will she have to go to India and then come to Canada from there?

As long as her visa is valid, she can fly to Canada. If and how long she is allowed back into Canada will be up to CBSA.
