If you deliver the baby in India before landing in Canada, then you will need to return your PR visa once your child his born, complete the paperwork to add your child to your application and then wait for CIC to reissue your visas.

To be approved for a visitor visa, your mother will have to prove she has enough money to pay for the visit and also prove she has strong ties to her home country and has no plans on remaining in Canada long term.

if we deliver baby in canada, how much will be the total cost for pregnancy and post delivery in alberta, my wife is 3rd month pregnant, and i would like to take my mother along with us, how much does it cost for visa processing and time limitation.

Since you and your wife have yet to land, upon landing in Alberta, why don't you ask your family doctor in Alberta and ask the same? I am guessing you don't have to pay the costs directly because it is covered in the AHCIP (as long as she became a resident of Alberta for at least 6 months in a calendar year).

CanadaDreamz, you are covered for all basic health coverage the day you land in alberta.(I don't think there is any 6 month waiting, but yes just some processing time for your AHCIP card, usually 2-3 weeks). And yes there are some extra costs too which are not covered by Alberta Health care and you have to bear individually (like prescription drugs, hospital room charge etc).
You can definitely apply for your mother tourist visa and you have a solid point of her application (to take care of your future new born child). but you have to provide enough documentation to convince immigration officer that your mother would return back after her stay. And also you can sponsor her in terms of funds if she can't. Her tourist visa application will cost around 100CAD and processing depends on which VFS office you apply to (chandigarh vfs time is 23 calendar days, whereas Delhi is 9 days).

Good luck!

Reasons such as *taking care of the future new born* are likely to result in a refusal because it means working illegally on a TRV even if it is unpaid.

And also you can sponsor her in terms of funds if she can't.
The OP's mother should show a reasonable amount of money to fund her visit

Her tourist visa application will cost around 100CAD and processing depends on which VFS office you apply to (chandigarh vfs time is 23 calendar days, whereas Delhi is 9 days).
Each of the 3 visa offices in India have well-defined geographical areas of operation. Hence, one cannot apply to a VAC of one's choice (if the processing time is less).

The states/territories handled by each visa office are stated on the CIC website

Cheers

Well I helped my friend to get tourist visa for her mother on the same norms, and its your mother not anyone else. May be immigration have some other norms when you say 'Take care of newly born grandchild which can't be done better than her own grandmother'. My friends mother got 10yrs visitor visa, he might be lucky to get away with this valid reason.

The OP's mother should show a reasonable amount of money to fund her visit
I said if she can't, though its always better to show your own funds.
I applied for my own parents visitor visa without including their bank statements (thinking I am sole sponsor so I included all my bank statements, last 3 yers's Notices of Assessments/T4's, payslips) but a week later my father got call from immigration officer in Chandigarh
that they need to see my parents personal bank statements too, which my father told him its insufficient funds there. and he said he wants what it is for last 6 months so we send those. And guess what just a balance of 50k rupees in those accounts and still they got 10 yrs visa. I guess in this situation they only want to see valid credit/debit history in your account, as already all the responsibility lies with me. I would say it all depends on filed documents all together.

Indeed.! But I don't know which geographic area is CANADA DREAMZ from, so I told him processing times at 2 of those locations. He can't apply outside his geographic region, CIC processing fees remains the same, but vfs processing might differ from office to office.

Cheers.!
