So I don’t even know this app, never used it. My mom is visiting me from another country this thanksgiving. She is 73 and only uses smartphones for calling etc and there is no way she can learn to use that app. May I open an account for her and fill the forms and submit the information for her?

My other question is, if I can open an account and submit information for her, when should I open ArriveCAN account and fill the forms? 3 days before the flight? 5? 2?

Last question is, it says she needs to get tested within 72 hours before flight. So can she get tested like 2 days before the flight? Or should it be exactly 72 hours before the flight?

Thanks!

1. You can submit info on her behalf and print out the receipt. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan.html

2. Three days

3. Within 72 hours before flight. If you can get result in few hours, you can take on the last day too.

You are so helpful thank you! Just wanted to clarify things a bit more, so do you think i have to open an account and submit all the info exactly 72 hours before her flight like exact hour and minute or can I do it let’s say 75 hours before or 69 hours before?

Do we have to upload her test result in ArriveCAN app? Because it seems like she will get the test result after I submit her info 3 days before the flight. Sorry I’m just trying to make sure..

Thank you so much again!

The test itself needs to be within 72 hours (not just the submission). It's fine if she takes the test 69 hours before her flight. It is not fine if she takes the test 75 hours before her flight. Again, test has to be within 72 hours of her flight.

Thank you so much for your answer! I have one more question. Should I open ArriveCAN account for her and submit her info exactly 72 hours before or is it okay if I register and submit her info like 48-60 hours before her flight? Should I register and submit her info after she takes the test or it doesn’t matter? Thank you again!
