I'm completing my EE profile and realized my LMIA (which I recieved this year) NOC code is 6241, which, from what I can gather is a 2006 code and was changed in 2011. When filling out the occupation forms on the online profile, there is no option for the old code, only 6321, which is the closest to the job description of 6241.
When we went through the LMIA application process, my employer had an immigration lawyer prepare and submit the application, so I was unaware of which NOC code they had chosen.
Was this NOC code assigned in error?
Why would CIC approve an obsolete code?
How should I proceed?
