LANDED..........
23 December 2011
Dear all friends,
I had been away from the thread for a long time. I was preparing for my landing. Yesterday December 23d, 2011, I landed in Toronto Pearson airport.
It was a very smooth and easy landing except the flying hours.
At immigration counter, it took me almost 10 mn with routine questions and signature of the COPR. Then I went to customs to declare the amount of money. Had since it is more than can$ 10000 and to declare gods to follow. There it took more time. They were all nice. They asked for the money I had and she counted it. Then I get out of the airport. It was so cold -6 C but no snow.
The 24th it was a SAturday. Service Canada are closed until the 28th of dec after Christmas. But I could be able to open an account and made the written driving test. It was so easy. But if u have a driving experience and want to claim it, you have to attest your translated copy of ur driving license from the consulate of ur country in Canada when u come!.
I will update u with any news. But Toronto is very nice city.
Regards,
Elie
