I had my relatives, so went to brampton

Thanks fellas, so no issues for quick in and outs of Canada, just have to meet the min requirement of spending two out of five years and that's all. Got a question here, it applies to principal applicant only or dependants also. Another one ....heard that you got to land within one year of the date you did I your medicals, does this also apply for the principal applicant or the dependants also.
@ Coolguy - any specific reason why you chose only Brampton as you first landing place !

Hi coolguy, good to hear you are back. congrats again for such a successful landing. ...haven't noticed you telling us something about the PR card in this thread (pardon me if its there and I overlooked). When is it that we apply for PR card, is it done at the airport ! How about carrying per filled forms for it or it has to be done on the spot itself ! How about if you don't have any friend or relative' s address at hand, and give hotel or homestay address. I have heard that few home stays / hotels do the service of mailing it to the given addresses provided you give them the courier charges in advance. How safe is this practice, has anyone here done it this way.
Can you share with us some more details of your G test, like which car usually they give you to ride on, does anyone sit with you, and how far do they ask you to drive, how much time the whole test takes and so on... Thanks

PR card is done at the Airport, the Imm. officer will fill out all the forms and all youhave to do is just give them the mailing address and sign on the COPR when the officer tells you to do so, Safe home stay provides PR card services, they will FedEx the card(s) to you, just go to their website /call them

thanks a lot sir, if its the same form which is available at CIC web site...requires a lot of personal info, so one should have all the needed personal info at hand or immi officer has all this info available in his system and will fill the forms by himself ! Do they take any pics on the spot !
Has anyone used the safe homestay service for the delivery of PR cards ! Are they reliable !! I have heard that it is not suitable for family stay ! Pls suggest

pictures from their computer cam, I have used safehomestay, although i paid them but we stayed elsewhere

1. what is the benefit of having goods to follow and not take them with you during your first arrival that means to carry every thing with you?
2. i am from pakistan and have computerised liscence do i need any sort of attestation from pakistan?
3. how much funds i can carry is it unlimited or some limit and what are disadvantage if carry more amount?

Hi,

Any goods u carry at second landing will be liable for duty (if no goods to follow list)

If u have goods to follow list (u can put any number of qty or value for personal things,electronics, even car also ), u will not be paying any duty

It is better to carry goods to follow list + goods carry list at first landing

You need to get experience letter from pakistan (pls chk with other members on this forum also)

There is no limit for funds to carry but minimum funds as per CIC is must to carry
If u r landing and coming back to home country, u can carry minimum funds required
If u r moving permanently, carry more funds depending upon ur family size
