My Landing Experience 19th May 2016

Dear All,

Here is my landing experience, I start travel with Etihad airways from Karachi to Toronto via Abu Dhabi. Karachi to Abu dhabi flight was ok meal was not good they serve only spinach sandwich with juice in dinner time. Abu Dhabi stay was good only for 3 hours. The real and painful test flight was Abu Dhabi to Toronto with worst meal i will not prefer any one to take Etihad it was my very bad experience worst service and attendants and only vegetarian meals :-\

Any ways come to the real point i was landed in Toronto Pearson airport at 19th May 2016 8:30 AM first i go to customs counter and meet with CBSA officer he took CBSA declaration card which i received in flight and ask about how much money i bring and good to follow i inform i dont have any good to follow and i have this much cash he mark on the card and give it to me with warm welcome to Canada, now time for immigration counter i wait in the line around 20 minutes after 20 minutes finally my turns officer call next and said Hi i told him i am a new immigrant he ask me about COPR and Passport then ask 3 questions only, 1) your wife is in Canada now because at the time of application file she was with me in Dubai. 2) you ever involved in any crime 3) you have dependents and finally ask me about the Canadian address. after all question he greet me welcome to CANADA now you my proceed to luggage belt.

I go there hardly in 5 mint a found my 2 begs now final counter was again customs counter he didnt ask me any single thing and just took the customs declaration card which was sign and stamp before and i exit from Toronto Pearson airport. my wife was waiting outside the airport.

We are staying in Mississauga rented a good basement for 850 CAD per month. Next day me and my wife visited Service Canada same time i got the SIN and a printed paper and representative told me we already stopped issuing plastic cards so this paper for you if in case it will miss place you came come we will print a new paper.

now here is long weekend i am enjoying my life with my wife no job i will searching from Tuesday when the new week will resume.

I thought I read on these forums that one can apply for SIN directly at Pearson.

Is that not the case?

I don't think both terminals have that, I believe its only terminal 1.

Basically its up to u whether u like to apply at airport or outside...i prefere outside airport

yes ur right .. now sin is just a printed paper with mentioned name address and sin number thats it..

if in case u lost they will reprint again with free of charge.

no i didn't fill any thing because i dont have good to follow .. I just made two separate list of personal belongings and i informed customs officer he even dont bother to see the lists.
