Hi All,

I am right in the middle of sending my application to NS under NOC 4131.

My husband who is currently employed as a Manager - Marketing with a manufacturing company here in India was refused Visa to Canada in May 2005. He then used to work with a Montreal based company as a Purchasing Representative to India and was invited by company's management to attend the annual meeting to outline purchasing policy for the next year. The company stated on their invite letter that they will bear all air fare & accomodation expenses but CIC rejected his application on ground that he is young & single (he was un-married then) and has no incentive to return his home country, well he never appealed again as the purpose was gone and he could not attend this meeting.

He left this Canadian company after 8 months to join another company as a Manager - Marketing. My husband often travels Europe and United States and currently holds a 10 years multiple visitor visa to United States.

Now my question is will it affect our case since he was rejected visitor visa by CIC a long way back? He will be co-applicant in our FSW1 application because I am the principal applicant.

I would appreciate your answers freinds.

Best Regards
RAJNI

Hey Rajnik,

although its surprising to hear that Visitor visa was rejected by CIC because it happens not so often that too on an official invitation but anyways this will not affect your case as the reason for rejections
is not due to any false records or something.

But remmeber to mention this in the application , In one of the forms they ask if you had applied for visitor visa or not and provide details - sleect yes there and explain that your husband had applied and it was rejected due to XYZ reason.

The assessment for PR would be independent of that rejection as the reason for rejecction of that visa has nothing to do with your current application.

Hope it helps.

Hi reachmenow,

This is my opinion too that it has nothing to do with our FSW application. I just thought of clearing my doubt.

Even I do not understand why he was refused Visitor visa, he had good travel history then but yet they didn't let him travel. Sometime these Visa officers takes weird decision and unfortunately you can not do anything about it.

I will keep in mind to write an explanation on why he was rejected Visa.

Thanks a lot friend.

Regards,
RAJNI
